Mumbai is a upcoming Bollywood Terrorist movie directed and produced by Deepak S. Shivdasani. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor in the film. It also stars Celina Jaitley. The film is being filmed so it will be released in late 2010.

‘Decayed Grace’ Clothing range by Katie Walley. Model; Jessica Maloney. Make up and styling; Gemma Mckay.

I took on this project with the acknowledgement of creating something different; another glance on the ties between beneath the surface. Delving deep into the context of what music and fashion present in terms of influence and emotion. Fashion is part of everyday life, however, this project was produced to show that fashion can be shown beyond the realm of ‘the everyday’. Incognizant to the fact that the music we listen to and the clothes we wear and the art we view defines our impression of the world, a conscious or subconscious perspective of being noticed. Our individuality initiates our desire to stand out in the crowd. The single figure raised above the spectator elevates her status symbolising an iconic individualism, the striking garment and the whimsical notes flow off into the frame. There is a representation that music flows around us, like the movement of the wind, the radio waves for example that surround our every step. The location; a disused railway line in derby; was specifically chosen for the beauty of its decayed and abandoned qualities. Therefore illuminating the clothing so it stands out from its natural surroundings and displays the lyrical magic of the musical moment. I intended to capture the fleeting moment of a song as you feel the music flowing through you; emanating from the central being. The resonance of the music balances the structured pose of the model.
